General Info:
This year, as in years past CYB Little League will again participate in the Little League District 4 All-Star tournaments. Cheshire Youth Baseball (Little League) is part of Connecticut's District 4 region which is comprised of Little League organizations from Hamden, North Haven, East & West Haven, New Haven, Milford, Orange, North Branford and Branford. Each league will register one All-Star team for each age group. These tournaments are also played within the greater New Haven District 4 area, so travel is minimal.
2013 Tournament teams:
9/10 All-Stars: This team will be comprised of the most talented 9 year old and 10 years olds based on a selection process. This tournament begins July 1st runs through mid July.

10/11 All-Stars: This team will be comprised of the most talented 10 year old and 11 years olds based on a selection process. This tournament begins June 27th runs through mid July. NOTE: Cheshire will not field an 11u team this year due to lack of interest.

11/12 Little League World Series All-Stars: This tournament is the largest youth All-Star tournament in the world with teams competing from around the world. The All-Star tournament finals are played in Williamsport PA and broadcasted on ESPN. For the second straight year, New England regional games will be televised on NESN. This team will be comprised of the most talented 11 and 12 year olds which will based on a selection/evaluation process by the coaches. This tournament will begin on June 29th and run through mid/end July.

All-Star Selection and Eligibility:
The selection process will be done by the managers of the league. They will use the season as the basis for selection.
To be eligible to play in any All-Star tournament, players must play in 60% of the CYB regular season schedule or a minimum of 9 games. If a player plays does not play in 60% of their regular season games they ARE NOT eligible for All-Stars. This a rule set by Little League International. Teams will not be announced until June 15th per Little League Rules.
Important Notes:
Most families plan vacations around the end of the school year and the July 4th holiday. No tournament games will be played on July 4th. It is important to understand the commitment for each player if he makes the team. If you son is interested in playing on one of these teams, please consider the schedule and commitment prior to planning your family vacation. For the 12 year old boys, this will be their last opportunity to qualify for the Little League World Series team.
Cost:
The only cost involved is the cost of the All-Star uniforms. Entry fees are paid by CYB for each team. In the past, the uniform cost was $65 per player. We will let you all know the cost as soon as we choose All-Star uniforms.
